I promise I've been there.
When I first started to rebel against dieting, I felt alone. In part because that was back in 2000. Not only was there no social media back then, but also, the internet was really used for nothing more than academics and Hotmail.
I ended up straddling the line between not dieting and not eating intuitively for a very long time. I felt alone and often out of control.
In addition, when I relapsed from my binge eating disorder after my son was born, the only solution offered was Overeaters Annonymous (OA). While I loved having a community there, OA turned out to be just another diet. This led to the same results - weight regain, bingeing and feeling angry and ashamed.
This time when I returned to the anti-diet space, I found Intuitive Eating. With the 10 principles of IE and a counsellor who understood the process, I slowly started to make peace with my food and body.
For this reason, I've created Mastering Life As A Rebel - to provide you with an intuitive eating support group I wish I'd had.
To provide you with a group of like-minded people learning to speak the same language as you are—a place for you to continue your IE learning and practice your IE skills.
